Leaky Cauldron
Leaky Cauldron is a quick service restaurant. It’s located in Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Orlando. We tried all the items from the kids menu, drinks, Shepherd’s Pasty Pie, and Cottage Pie. Watch our review here. We will share pictures and details about the items we tried.
Kids Meals
The menu at Leaky Cauldron has 3 different options for kids. Each meal costs $7.49 and comes with grapes. However, they do not come with drinks. Adults can order from the kids menu. This is a good way to save money on a meal.
Mini Pie
It’s a smaller version of the Cottage Pie. It’s served with grapes and applesauce
Fish & Chips
Fish and Chips is fish that has been battered and fried. The menu says that it’s served with chips which is the wedge potatoes. However, it doesn’t say its served with grapes but ours came with grapes. This was our favorite kids meal out of all three of them.
Macaroni and Cheese
The Macaroni and Cheese came with grapes and applesauce. This was our least favorite. The kids still enjoyed it but it wasn’t very creamy. It just tasted okay.
Shepherd’s Pasty Pie
The Shepherd’s Pasty Pie is the vegan option on the menu and costs $16.49. It’s filled with meatless beef crumbles and vegetable stew. It’s served with an apple beet salad, wedge fries, and stone ground mustard sauce. The pie was very flaky and so good. The filling was very flavorful and filling. It’s a big portion. The dipping sauce was very good, so yum. However, the apple beet salad wasn’t bad but not my cup of tea.
Cottage Pie
The Cottage Pie costs $16.49 and comes with a garden salad. The Cottage Pie is made of beef and chunky vegetables with mashed potatoes over the top layer. It was very good and also hearty.
Pumpkin Juice
We tried the pumpkin juice which costs $4.99. It was very good and not too sweet. Also, I felt it had a good balance of pumpkin flavor with the spices. The kids all enjoyed it as well.
Tongue Tying Lemon Squash
The tongue tying lemon squash costs $5.49. It’s a nice refreshing drink for a hot Florida day. The kids enjoyed this drink as well.
Butterbeer
Of course we couldn’t leave without trying the Butterbeer. We tried the frozen and the original Butterbeer. The price was $7.99. This was our first time trying it. Everyone loved both versions. Athough some did prefer the frozen over the original. They also have a hot version but it was too hot outside to try that.
Overall we really enjoyed our meal and left very satisfied. We will have to come back and try some of the other dishes. Everything looked so good and I can’t wait to try some of the other items.
