My First Haircut – Disney World

Did you know you can get a haircut at Disney World? Harmony Barber Shop is located in the Magic Kingdom between the Emporium and Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom. The Barber Shop is small and easy to miss. Appointments can be made online.

Harmony Barber Shop has something called My First Haircut. Alexandra was going to be 18 months old during our trip and it seemed like a fun experience. The haircut comes with a mickey hat that says, My First Haircut and the price is $25. It seemed worth it and a great bonus to get a mickey hat that she will have for the rest of her life.

The Barber Shop

Harmony Barber Shop is a small shop with 3 salon chairs. Inside is a bench seat in the corner for guests to sit on as they wait. To the right of the entrance is the check in counter. If you don’t have an appointment you can still stop by and ask if they have any available times.

Before we got to the appointment, Alexandra seemed a little tired. For this reason, I was worried she might cry. Turns out, She was fine and seemed unsure more than anything else. She sat in the chair quietly with a look on her face that said, “What I’m I doing in this chair?”

My First Haircut

Judy was the barber that cut Alexandra’s hair. She did an awesome job. Also, the haircut didn’t take very long. She gave me an Elsa doll to entertain Alexandra. The doll had a skirt that moved around. However, Alexandra didn’t seem to need it since she stayed calm.

Judy cut a little off the ends. Then she placed the cut hair onto a cloth. The cut hair was placed in a little bag. Mickey shaped confetti was also placed in the bag with some mickey stickers. Judy styled her hair by placing it into a ponytail on the top of her head. Then she sprinkled some pixie dust on her ponytail. It was a fun bonus I wasn’t expecting. As well as, adorable how she styled her hair. It was extra special to see the pixie dust in her hair for the rest of the day.

What’s included?

My first Haircut comes with the mickey ears, a certificate and a little bag with the cut hair in it.

Is it worth your time?

There’s so much I wanted to squeeze in for our vacation that I almost didn’t do the haircut. But, I’m glad we did it. I think it’s a fun experience that added that something extra to our vacation. It’s definitely worth the price since it comes with mickey ears and a cute certificate. Also, I love that I have a cute bag to keep her hair in.

Harmony Barber Shop also does regular haircuts. The child haircut is $18. The Adult haircut is $19. Adult and Child haircut is a simple style with spray. The Barber Shop doesn’t have sinks so they don’t do shampoo and conditioner. Disney World can be expensive so I was happy to see what a reasonable price a haircut is in the Magic Kingdom.
