Woody’s Lunch Box Review

Woody’s Lunch Box is a quick service restaurant in Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios. Woody’s Lunch Box is the only dining location in Toy Story Land, at least for now. Disney has plans to make another restaurant in the land. Woody’s Lunch Box serves sandwiches and tochos. The restaurant also has a breakfast menu. However, we ate lunch here. This review will cover what we ate and what we thought of the food.

Seating

Woody’s Lunch Box seating area is all outside. However, all the tables have umbrellas over them to give guests plenty of shade. Also, there is a limited amount of seating. If you eat at less busy times it will be easier to find a seat. We ate here at noon so there was no place to sit. However, after standing for a few minutes, someone had finished their meal and we were able to get their table. That is the one negative of this restaurant. I wish they had more seats.

Frozen Mystic Portal Punch in an Alien Sipper

We ordered the Frozen Mystic Portal Punch and it came in a fun alien sipper cup. Guests can order the sipper cup with whatever drink they want. It cost $16.49. I really enjoyed the Frozen Mystic Punch. It was very refreshing and not overly sweet like some drinks. The punch is a slushy drink and it took awhile to finish. One, because it was a big cup and two because it was a thick slushy that took a while to melt. I would order it again. It’s a fun drink and a fun sipper cup to take home. The cup has three different light settings and an alien in the bottom.

BBQ Brisket Melt

The BBQ Brisket Melt is a sandwich with smoked brisket, melted cheddar and monterey jack, pickles, and barbecue sauce. It costs $12.99. This comes with a side of tater tots, tomato soup or a mandarin orange. Tim went with the orange. The sandwich was very delicious. I had a bite and I liked it more than what I ordered. The meat was tender and juicy. It had a lot of flavor. The bread is seasoned and grilled which added to the deliciousness.

Totchos

I ordered the Totchos. The price is $9.99. The Totchos are tater tots loaded with chili, cheese, corn chips, sour cream and green onions. This was a bigger serving then what I expected. It was good. It’s exactly what you would expect chili and tater tots to taste like. Also, the serving size was more than enough. I was more than willing to share. I could have finished it on my own. However, I didn’t want to eat all of it because it was very hearty.

Kids Meals

Candon and Zachary ordered from the kids meal. Candon ate the Grilled Cheese and it came with a mandarin and tater tots aka potato barrels. It cost $6.19. The grilled cheese was so good he devoured it in no time at all. The kids meal is only half a sandwich. However, since it came with 2 sides it seemed to be filling enough for Candon.

Zachary ate the Turkey Sandwich with a mandarin and potato barrels. It cost $6.99. The turkey sandwich comes with lettuce and tomato on a multigrain bread. It’s also a half sandwich. Zachary is my picky eater and didn’t like it at first. However, after I took off the lettuce and tomato he ate it. He enjoyed the sandwich after that. It’s a nice healthy option, at least if you eat it with the lettuce and tomato.

Gluten Free Three Cheese Sandwich

My mom ordered the gluten free three cheese sandwich with tomato soup. It cost $8.99. She really enjoyed the sandwich. The gluten free bread was better tasting than others she’s had. The tomato soup was just a basic tomato soup. It tasted good but it wasn’t anything special.

Mobile Order

Mobile order was highly encouraged at this location. I did a mobile order a few hours before and had no problem finding an available time slot. However, now the parks are getting more crowded. Therefore, it’s important to always place your mobile order soon after getting to the park. That way you can ensure to eat where you want. Final Thoughts

Woody’s Lunch Box is a fun place to eat. The food is good and at a good price. If you feel like a sandwich this is solid choice. Also, I’ve heard the Breakfast Bowl is really good. They also have 3 different flavors of Lunch Box Tarts. These are like homemade Poptarts and are also really good. Woody’s Lunch Box is a good quick service option if you’re in Hollywood Studios. I would eat here again. The only downside is the lack of tables. You might have to find a different place to eat your food. Therefore, try to eat at off times like maybe a late breakfast or early or late lunch.
