Regal Eagle Smokehouse Review

Regal Eagle Smokehouse

Regal Eagle Smokehouse is a quick service restaurant in American Adventure in Epcot. The restaurant serves barbecue chicken, brisket, hamburgers, and ribs. Menu items comes with garlic toast and a choice of one side. Although, the sandwiches don’t come with garlic toast but do come with one side. The sides are; onion rings, coleslaw, baked beans, fries, and macaroni and cheese. Also, mobile order is available at this location.

Atmosphere

Regal Eagle Smokehouse celebrates American barbecue from different regions of the country. The decor is fashioned after early colonial America. There’s a cast iron stove and lots of decorations to make it feel like the colonial era. Also, outside is a big smoker. The inside has plenty of seating, which I love. As well as, lots of tables outside. It’s never fun to have to search for an available seat. Here that shouldn’t be a problem.

Kansas City Smoked Half-Chicken

I ordered the Kansas City Smoked Half-Chicken with a side of onion rings. The chicken was big and juicy. The barbecue sauce was smothered all over the chicken and was delicious. I don’t know how they made it but I thought I could taste cola or a cherry cola in the sauce. I could be completely off the mark but that’s what I tasted. The barbecue sauce was very good. The restaurant has several sauces to try. However, the chicken didn’t need any extra sauce. It was great just as it was. The onion rings were perfect. They had just the right amount of salt on them. This meal cost $13.99.

Sliced Texas Beef Brisket Sandwich

Tim ordered the Sliced Texas Beef Brisket Sandwich and a side of house-made pickles. The cost was $12.99. The brisket is sandwiched between garlic toast and has a mop sauce on it. Moreover, the sandwich has an onion ring on top. The sandwich was very good. It had plenty of flavor. The brisket was juicy and not dry. The house-made pickles were good but there were too many of them to finish. The pickles are a little different than what’s in the grocery store. It was basically cucumbers that had been pickled in vinegar.

Kids Meal

The kids meal comes with a side of coleslaw and watermelon. Candon had the cheeseburger and Zachary had the BBQ Chicken Leg. The cheeseburger was just a basic cheeseburger and slightly smaller than an adult size hamburger. Candon’s favorite food is hamburgers so it was a great choice for him. He gobbled it down.

Zachary’s BBQ chicken looked like it had the same sauce as the Kansas City chicken. He loves chicken legs, so he enjoyed this. The coleslaw was good but he didn’t finish it. It’s not his favorite side. They both love watermelon so they enjoyed that. The BBQ Chicken Leg cost $7.99 and the cheeseburger was $7.79.

Final Thought

Regal Eagle Smokehouse is a great place to eat. Especially if you feel like having some barbecue. I always prefer restaurants with plenty of seating. If your party is big then it will be easier to find a place to sit at this restaurant.

The food is really good and worth the long walk if your coming from Epcot’s Future World. That’s the only downside. Depending where you are, depends on if you want to walk that far. The restaurant is in the middle of World Showcase so it could be a long walk. We made sure to spend the morning in Epcot’s Future World. Then we walked through the different countries and made it to American Adventure at dinner time.

I would eat here again. The food was delicious. Epcot has so many great places to choose from. It can be hard to decide where to eat. Regal Eagle Smokehouse is a solid choice and there’s so many good sides too choose from. Also, it’s fun to try all the different sauces to discover what’s the best.
