My Dessert Party Experience

I had the opportunity to go to the Happily Ever After dessert party in 2019. I took the advice of another blogger and saved some money by going to the After-Party. They recommended it because the viewing area at the Plaza Garden is better than the view from Tomorrowland Terrace. Plus, you don’t have to worry about eating quickly and then heading to the Plaza Garden for a good spot.

I haven’t been to the other parties so I can’t compare. However, I will say I enjoyed the view and it was good to save a little money by going with the cheaper party. My kids were tired by the time we got to the desserts. However, my 2 older kids still enjoyed the treats. My 3 year old and 18 month old were ready to go to sleep by that time.

The Food

The desserts were okay but I also didn’t have much of an appetite at the time. Perhaps if I went again I might enjoy the food more. Also, it wasn’t just desserts. They also had cheeseburger egg rolls which is very popular. The cheeseburger egg rolls kept running out. I had to keep checking back to see if they refilled it. Crackers, cheese, and meats were also at the buffet. However, the menu does change from time to time so it’s not a guarantee that these items will be on the menu.

The main reason I think the dessert party was worth it was because I didn’t have to worry about saving a good seat hours before. If it was just me it wouldn’t matter but since I had 4 kids with me it was less stressful knowing I didn’t have to find a spot. It was the highlight to have a reserved place for us to view the fireworks. The kids also really enjoyed the treats. That’s the main reason I wanted to go to the dessert party. I knew the kids would love it.

Also, Disney’s new show will now include special effects down Main Street U.S.A. Therefore, it will be interesting to see what the views will be like from the restaurant and Plaza Garden. It seems it might not be the most ideal viewing location to get the full experience.
