Main Street Confectionery Reopens

The Main Street Confectionery has officially reopened. The Confectionery was closed a few months ago for refurbishment. The shop is be bigger than before. It’s now sponsored by Mars Candy. Disney has announced some new things guests can expect now that it’s reopened.

If you don’t know, The Main Street Bakery is an old fashioned candy shop in the Magic Kingdom. This is where you can find all kinds of treats, such as, lollipops, Mickey crisped treats, cupcakes, and candy apples. Disney has announced some exciting new things that will be available at the candy shop.

What’s New

The shop will now have a candy wall that has 38 varieties of M&M’s and Skittles. Guests can also customize their popcorn. Four different flavors of popcorn will be available. The flavors are, caramel, buttery, rainbow fruit, and cheddar and can be topped with M&M’s or skittles. Plus, you can request to have some chocolate drizzled over it. The shop also has other Mars candies such as, Snickers, Dove, and Twix.

Pricing for the Kernal Kitchen

The Kernal Kitchen is where you will find the popcorn options. There are 3 steps, first step, pick your popcorn flavor, second, select a syrup and third combine with candies. There are a few pricing options. It’s $12.99 for 2 toppings plus syrup or $13.99 for 3 toppings plus syrup. Moreover, additional toppings cost $1 each. Choose from 11 different toppings and 3 different chocolate syrups (white, dark, milk).

Also, guests will still be able to watch cast members create character inspired candy apples and crisped rice treats. There will also be 30 new items that are unique to the Main Street Confectionery. Some new fudge flavors will be included in that. Flavors, such as, peanut butter fudge topped with peanut butter M&M’s and fudge with Twix candies. The shop will also have limited time treats to celebrate the 50th Anniversary.

I’m excited to see what the shop will look like. It sounds like there will be many fun things to discover. My kids will love the option to choose candy from the colorful candy wall. The candy shop was always a fun place to stop but now it sounds like it will be even better.
