Unique Kids Meals at Disney World
The typical kids meal at Walt Disney World include, hamburgers, hot dogs, macaroni and cheese and chicken nuggets. However, there are more unique kids meals at Disney World. In this post I will share where to find different options. Some kids might love to eat only hot dogs, hamburgers and chicken nuggets for a week but some might not.
Also, when I say unique I don’t mean exotic. I simply mean something other than the usual hamburger and macaroni and cheese. Therefore, to get more variety in a kids diet, check out these locations.
Magic Kingdom
The Magic Kingdom has several options to pick from. There are more unique kids meals such as, Congo Connie’s Coconut Curry Concoction served at Skipper Canteen or a simple pepperoni flatbread served at Pinocchio Village Haus. Here are the restaurants and what they serve on the kids meals.
Be Our Guest is the hard to get reservation and is located in Fantasyland. The restaurant is inside the beasts castle. Here the kids meal has grilled beef tenderloin and pan-seared chicken breast.
The Skipper Canteen is located in Adventureland and is a hidden gem. This location is themed after the Jungle Cruise ride. The menu features cuisine flavors of Asia, South America and Africa. The kids meal includes Chef Tandaji’s Crispy Chicken, Congo Connie’s Coconut Curry Concoction and grilled steak.
Pizza at Disney World – Where to find it
For little adventurers who want more familiar food, go to Pinocchio Village Haus. This restaurant even has seats with a view into it’s a small world. Here the kids meal has pepperoni flatbread, pasta, and a turkey sandwich.
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe is located in Frontierland. This quick service location has a toppings bar. However, I’m not sure if it’s currently available. The kids menu has items like the veggie rice bowl, chicken rice bowl and pork carnitas rice bowl.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Disney’s Hollywood Studios has a few locations with unique kids meals. The newest land, Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge has some great options if you want something a little different.
Docking Bay 7 menu items include, Surabat Shrimp Noodle Salad, Endorian Fried Chicken Youngling Meal, Takodana Veggie Dippers Youngling Meal. The noodle salad is chilled. Therefore, it might be strange for some kids. I’ve heard the Endorian Fried Chicken is very good and it comes with macaroni and cheese. The veggie dipper meal may not please most kids, unless they really love vegetables.
ABC Commissary is a quick service location with plenty of seating. Here the menu includes a few options, turkey sandwich, and pork taco.
Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano is an Italian restaurant. This is a table service restaurant. The kids menu has chicken parmigiana, spaghetti and meatballs, cheese pizza, and grilled chicken.
Woody’s Lunch Box is located in Toy Story Land. This is a quick service restaurant. Unfortunately, there is limited seating at this location. However, you might get to sit on a giant babybel. Woody’s Lunch Box has some fun seats that look like giant babybel’s. The kids menu has grilled cheese sandwich, and turkey sandwich.
Epcot
It’s not hard to find unique kids meals in Epcot. Almost every restaurant has more than just hamburgers and chicken nuggets. Even Sunshine Season’s serves salmon and chicken drumsticks. For this reason, I won’t name all of them. Here are just a few.
Nine Dragons Restaurant is located in the World Showcase in the China Pavilion. The kids menu includes Sweet and Sour Shrimp with Lo Mein, Kids Deluxe Entree (shrimp and chicken with sweet and sour sauce, served with egg fried rice, carrots, broccoli) and Honey Chicken.
Iconic Disney Snacks and Where to Find them
Regal Eagle Smokehouse is also in the World Showcase at American Adventure. The menu has BBQ chicken legs, BBQ ribs, and chicken salad.
Coral Reef Restaurant is located next to the Seas with Nemo and Friends. The restaurant has a variety of options for kids. It includes steak, fish, shrimp, grilled chicken and pasta. Although the scenery is awesome, many reviews are not. However, if you just want to experience it for the views, then make sure to eat here.
Katsura Grill is in the Japan Pavilion in the World Showcase. The kids menu has teriyaki chicken, shrimp, and beef to choose from.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom has just a few places with unique offerings. Some of the restaurants only have one item on the menu that isn’t the typical kids meal. Flame Tree BBQ has baked chicken drumsticks. Pizzafari has cheese pizza and mickey pasta. Harambe Market has a grilled chicken bowl.
However, the best restaurant by far is Satu’li Canteen. This quick service location has not only unique kids meals, but delicious food as well. There’s so many options. The kids menu includes, cheeseburger pod, cheese quesadilla, hot dog wrapped in dough and chicken, beef or tofu bowls.
The last restaurant on the list is Rainforest Cafe and it also has more variety on it’s kids menu. Most restaurants have 3 or 4 options on the kids menu. However, Rainforest Cafe has many options. Such as, grilled chicken, shrimp, grilled cheese, pizza, and cheese quesadilla.
