Ranking Walt Disney World Parks

Magic Kingdoms Cinderellas Castle

Disney World has 4 parks, The Magic Kingdom, The Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot. In this article I ranked the Disney World Parks based on rides that the whole family can ride together. In other words, rides that have no height requirement. I know some parks that have a lower rank do have great shows for kids. But this ranking is all about the rides.

Outside Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy

On our first trip to Disney World my kid’s ages were from 10 years to 18 months old. I loved it when there was a ride with no height requirement. Although I love the fact that Disney has rider switch, it did take more of our time to use it. Once we were in Disney World I realized how few rides there are with no height requirement in some of the parks. There are many ways to rank Disney World Parks so here is just one way to rank them.

4. Hollywood Studios

There are plenty of things to love about Hollywood Studios. It’s the home of Toy Story Land and Galaxy’s Edge. Unfortunately this park only had 1 ride with no height requirement when I was there. They recently opened Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway making it 2 rides the whole family can enjoy. Toy Story Mania is the other ride with no height requirement which turned out to be one of my favorite rides. Shows at Disney are wonderful but we are a family that loves to go on the rides. For me it was disappointing that my littlest ones only got to go on 1 ride while in Hollywood Studios. But, if you are a family that enjoys shows, and character meet and greets then you will have plenty to do.

3. Animal Kingdom

When you look at the list of all the trails and entertainment that the Animal Kingdom has to offer, you might be surprised to realize that there are only 3 rides with no height requirement. The 3 rides are Kilimanjaro Safaris, Na’vi River Journey, and TriceraTop Spin. If you want to count the Wildlife Express Train as a ride then you could say the Animal Kingdom has four rides for any height. The Animal Kingdom does have some really good shows. We saw Festival of the Lion King and It was spectacular.

2. Epcot

Epcot ranks number 2 on my list. Epcot has a reputation for not being kid friendly but after I spent a day in Epcot I have to disagree. I really enjoyed this park and feel there are plenty of things for little kids to do. Epcot has 6 rides that have no height requirement. There are actually more rides with no height requirement than ones with. The only rides that have a height requirement are Mission: Space, Soarin’ Around the World, and Test Track.

1. Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom ranks number 1 for the most rides for any height. With a whopping 17 rides that everyone can ride, it’s the clear winner. The Magic Kingdom has just 6 rides that have a height requirement. Making this park the best for the whole family to enjoy. There is so much to do in this park that it requires more than one day. We went to the Magic Kingdom for 2 days during our vacation and it wasn’t enough. I enjoyed this park the most. We had more time to ride as a family. Also, we only used rider switch once because we focused on the rides we could all go on.
